01

Who we are

AVA is the project name used by the team developing the AVA personal wearable and AVA Care enterprise platform. For information collected through this website, the AVA project team decides why and how that information is used and acts as the data controller.

AVA is currently a pre-launch project. Formal company and postal contact details will be added here when the operating entity is established.

02

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide through the personal waitlist, including your name, email address, country or region, product interests, current wearable, goals, price feedback, research interest and any free-text response.

For AVA Care enquiries, we collect your name, work email, organisation, role, organisation type, approximate number of people supported and your message.

If you allow analytics, we also collect limited website information such as a randomly generated session identifier, referral code, campaign attribution and page interactions. Technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site is processed regardless of your analytics choice. We do not use advertising cookies or build cross-site advertising profiles.

03

How we use information

We use personal waitlist information to manage early access, share meaningful product and research updates, understand demand, invite suitable people to optional research and measure referrals. We use AVA Care information to respond to enquiries, assess possible pilots and understand care-sector needs.

Limited usage information helps us understand whether the site works, improve its content, attribute campaigns, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems. We do not sell personal information.

04

Our lawful bases

We rely on your consent for AVA waitlist, product and research emails and for optional first-party analytics. You may withdraw email consent using the unsubscribe option in an AVA email or by replying to it. You can change your analytics choice at any time through “Cookie choices” in the footer.

We rely on legitimate interests to respond to enterprise enquiries, improve this pre-launch service, understand aggregate demand, maintain security and prevent misuse. Where discussions concern a requested pilot or other future arrangement, we may also process information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

05

Who processes information

We use service providers to run the website and store submissions. Form submissions are stored in Supabase infrastructure in the EU-West region. Our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure processes the technical information needed to serve and secure the site.

Providers act under their own terms and data-protection commitments. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or in connection with a future reorganisation of the AVA project. We do not give third parties permission to use your details for their own marketing.

06

International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we will rely on an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with appropriate security measures.

07

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information while the AVA project is in development and for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless you withdraw consent sooner. We keep enterprise enquiries for up to 24 months after the last contact so we can manage a potential pilot or relationship.

Website event data is normally kept for up to 12 months. We may retain a minimal suppression record after an unsubscribe so we can respect your preference, and may keep information longer where required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

08

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To make a request, reply to any AVA email you have received and put “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

09

Cookies, storage and your choices

We store one essential preference in your browser so the site remembers whether you selected “Allow analytics” or “Essential only”. This is necessary to respect your choice.

If you allow analytics, the site uses session storage for a randomly generated analytics identifier and local storage for first-touch referral or campaign attribution. These support first-party measurement only and are not used for advertising. Selecting “Essential only” removes those analytics values and stops new analytics events.

We do not currently set advertising cookies. You can reopen the consent panel at any time using “Cookie choices” in any footer. If our use of storage changes, we will update this notice and ask again where required.

10

Security and children

We apply proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections, restricted database permissions and row-level access controls. No internet service can promise absolute security.

This pre-launch website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly ask them to join the waitlist. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us using the method above.

11

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice as AVA develops, including when a formal operating entity, dedicated privacy contact, new product services or material data uses are introduced. The effective date at the top shows when this version took effect.
